About Alpha Phi Omega
National Service Fraternity
Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity was founded on Wednesday, December 16, 1925 on the 2nd floor of Brainerd Hall (now known as Hogg Hall) at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Founded on the three Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, APO emphasizes the fact that we are architects of our own ambitions and that each of us has the opportunity to develop ourselves to be whatever we seek to be.
The vision of Alpha Phi Omega is to be the premier campus-based leadership development organization.
Through it's mission of preparing campus and community leaders through service, Alpha Phi Omega's purpose shall be to assemble college students in a national service fraternity in the fellowship of principles derived from the Scout Oath and the Law of the Boy Scouts of America; to develop Leadership, to promote Friendship and to provide Service to humanity; and further the freedom that is our national, educational and intellectual heritage.
Alpha Phi Omega provides its members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, to the nation, and to the fraternity.
